Million Steps Challenge - Oldbury Equine Clinic

To raise awareness around the mental health issues faced by veterinarians, and support the amazing work of Sophie’s Legacy, everyone at OEC will be partaking in the ‘Million Steps Challenge’. Physical exercise is also a great way to boost mood, so we’re super excited to tackle this challenge! We’ll be posting updates via our socials channels throughout!

Our goal: Between 1st July & 30th September each team member will achieve 1M steps (roughly 10,000 per day)!

Get Ready to Dunk for a Cause!

Join us for on Bova Night for a fun-filled fundraising event where you can take your best shot at dunking our brave volunteers and help raise money for Sophie’s Legacy.

Event Highlights:

Dunk Tank Extravaganza: Take aim and dunk our CEO Nick Bova, National Sales Manager Brett Davidson, and some special VIPs who have graciously signed up for this wet and wild event!

Ball Prices: $5 per ball | $10 for 3 balls

Tom’s Walk

Tom is taking steps—literally—to support Sophie’s Legacy, walking 41 km in under 10 hours from Greencross Vet clinic to clinic. As the partner of someone in the vet industry, Tom understands the depth of commitment & heart it takes his fiancé Holly to do her job and makes sure she is always supported.

Tom is raising money for Sophie’s Legacy to bring about change in the vet industry, as despite the long hours and challenging days, he knows that Holly is doing what she loves and he can’t see her doing anything else.

#Moorong Vet Clinic Morning Tea

Sophie’s Legacy’s mission is to ‘Save the people that save our animals’. In fact we want the people to flourish! We aim to do that by being a voice to challenge misconceptions about the veterinary industry and to inform the public about being respectful and positive in every interaction. As an industry that contributes so much to Australian life we want to lobby governments and industry to make changes that help all vet staff flourish. We appreciate your support!

Monkey Run - Mongolia

Ryan Donovan, James Stewart Koster, Luke McKnight, Claudia De Rose and Christian De Rose are five friends under the team name Sophie's Legacy who are entering the Mongolian Monkey Run from the 9th of September and finish on the 19th. Over 10 days they'll be trekking 1000km on 50cc motorbikes against multiple other teams from around the world, they start in the Gobi Desert in the south and finish in the mountains near the border of Russia. There's no actual prizes for the winning team, it's all just a bit of fun....and they're raising needed funds for Sophie’s Legacy, a charity dear to Ryan who is studying in the vet industry and wants to see a brighter future for all vet staff.

So please help Ryan and his mates  to make a difference.
